what do you need to hook up to your car? i would assume you would need a car with electronic ignition, fuel control, etc... or could i possibly plug into my carbureted 82 mustang somehow? maybe through an MSD box? i would appreciate some feedback on that. thanks

i think hotdoggy421 hit the spot. any vehicle will be reliable for a long time with regular inspections and mantainence. it also helps if you have mechanical knowledge to diagnose small problems before they turn big i.e. U-joints, suspension bushings, engine noises, gear whine, etc.

okay... theres ford's frame rot and fuel injection issues, GM's that rot, fall apart, and have auto tranny failures. i believe mitsubishi had a major ball joint recall. dont get me wrong, im not a die-hard dodge guy. i like them all. i guess my point is, every manufacturer has pros and cons. theres no point in taking one thing and blowing it out of proportion like it surpasses everything else

'dodgeproblems', seriously dude... you have the right to express your opinion from your experience. but my experience shows otherwise. ive owned chevys, fords and dodges and my dodges have been the most sturdy and reliable vehicles. my dad had a 2000 dakota, bought brand new. he put 160k miles on it, ran it hard, and all he ever had to do with it is change the oil. the only reason why he sold it was to get a new diesel for towing (which is also a dodge). i couldnt even tell you how many times ive heard people complain about their GMs, fords, or imports with something that siezed up, rattled loose, or just failed altogether.
