well the RX8 is a great car but the rotary engine is just Wayyy over rated I sold my rx7, the rotary winds up high but has no balls there like rubber band engines lot of noise and no real torque to back it up if that rx8 had a piston engine under the hood as many people do swap the ls1 into rx7's because rotary sucks ass, then there bad ass and the rx7 was better then the rx8 in my opinion its just a fad to sell the car with the " rotary engine " trust me I owned a rx7 loved it but not enough balls
