we can go on and on about it but while the rest of the world gets touring, rally and indy... we get nascar and nhra

i agree predator. that is exactly why the rest of the world see's america as an "immature car market" (in spite of being one of the largest car markets.) because the average american driver could care less about the skill required to calculate entry/exit speed or the proper apex. thats why for years auto makers with held many of their performance cars from america. the good ol' boys just want v8's and automatics. just look at how we design our interstates compared europe. make it as long and straight as possible and only add a turn when you cant blast a hole in through the mountain.

flattusmaximu your reasoning is retarded. you sound like the honda fan boys from years ago saying my 4 banger turbo beat your v8 stang in a straight line so all stangs suck!! im not hating on the cobra. its a nice car but just cause it beat the gt-r in a straight line that means a gt-r is garbage to you?.. grow up man
|
|
|

i dunno why everyone is getting all upset... a mildly modified cobra is faster in a straight line. so what? lots of cars are faster in a straight line than the gtr (launch control and all) straight line speed is not the only measure of a cars performance. i dont know why people watch this vid and say ignorant things like "gt-r's suck" when professional race car divers and magazine testers have driven the gt-r and all say that the gt-r absolutely does not suck.

wow at first i thought "eh so what, this vids lame" but after he took off i was lmao. this is why i love rally racing. sometimes you see these guys loose it and go though a whole pile of people.... and then take off like that lol!!! only in rally racing is a hit and run legal

very cool vid. props to both cars! i cant wait to see how nissan responds with the v-spec version. more power and less weight should pay off a lot on the gt-r.

i dont think you can run a 7:26 lap and purposely sand bag the final straight 02pewterss. i did see the steering wheel jerk around quite a bit and that is very scary at 178mph so maybe that played a roll in the slower than expected top speed

3 seconds faster than the gt-r (not 12)

funny thing is, even with "very, very reliable insider information", matt farah still wants a gt-r :) let the flaming begin!! lol j/k i would take either car. both are amazing but for the price gimmie a gt-r (and an evo 9 with the rest of the cash for a daily driver)

that gt-r on road and track had something wrong with it lol. they said it was the only gt-r ever tested with a 0-60 over 4 seconds and the only one with a 1/4 mile over 12 seconds. motor trends gt-r posted a 3.2 0-60 and an 11.5 second 1/4 mile. right on par with the z06

of course the fq360 is going to be miles ahead of the sti... i thought the euro sti used the same 2.0 that the jap spec uses.
