mustangfreak funny, it's not only for the performance...every one and their brother has a vette it's like the hyundai of the sports car world. Same goes with your mustang(I own one too)! An awd car with same hp and weight will destroy rear wheel drive car on a race track...power is nothing without control

Having to outrun the radio is a misnomer, that the media and cops like to push out...You don't have to outrun the radio all you have to do is lose the guy chasing you and he don't know where to radio ahead for others to intercept you. Why do you think they NEVER show people on "cops" or other police pursuit shows showing people losing the cops? They don't want the general public believing you can...it's all about perception. Do a search on the internet for pursuit results...one done in Omaha only resulted in 43% arrest rate for "suspect" vehicles with a 75% arrest rate for DUI/impaired or vehicles. Don't believe what they pimp you in the media all the time as gospel

jeep got a good .5 second launch on the MB(good 1-2 car lengths can been seen in other video taken from jeep), but the jeep was beeing hunted down np by the MB. That jeep srt8 vs. 997 wasn't even a race...the jeep got owned! Looks like in the jeep vs. Z06 on the jeep gets the lead on the launch but the z06 hunts him down at end of track for win. Great job on the videos!

couple points, I take it was the TA that was honking the horn for the start both times so he would have a slight advantage in beginning. Also, a few mods on the TA and little nitrous? Ah, I'd say more than just a few with RWHP and RWTQ numbers you are putting down...What kind of rear end like a 4.10?! Other point is what is weight difference between the two cars? Either way good race and I personally don't mind the TA styling, even if I do find it just a tad overdone...

Anyone can make a POS fast, just takes enough time and money and yes even a Yugo. The Viper speaks exclusivity where as the Civic is the common man's POS. 3389d36b's highlights this fact...

SLK55 weighs 3455+ whatever the supercharger mods add.
Z06 weighs 3118 range.

Hardly a win by the Z06 seems to me the SLK55 was gaining on him toward the end about about ready to pass him when he lifted. The Z06 was able to pa ss and get a about half a car on the slk55 because of the gear change(his gears and transmission ratio better at the speed they picked, he didn't ha ve him out powered).

I've seen slk55 run 12.7 with street tires no mods (Dinko was owner), so that run was crappy either by the conditions or the driver.

Ah, yeah from the looks of it the Mustang pulled on him then got out of it...hence the supra taking off so fast and the reason why you see a ton of traffic around the mustang in the rearview shot...

Bunch of whiners on here, face it the E55 won. On a consistancy basis it w ill win more often, because it's much easier to launch vs that Cobra. Why should he turn off TC? The car comes stock with it, unless you think he' ll run even better numbers.
Note: I own a blown 480hp Mustang too.
