SurgesEvo: Peaking over the 500whp range on the stock block is only as reliable at the tune and the owner. Sounds to me like either your friends with 20g's either had bad tunes, were not being responsible with their Evo's or a combination of both. The number of Evo owners that are having success in that whp range vastly outweigh the owners that are not.

SurgesEvo: Reread what I wrote because you are certainly not following what im saying. I never said anything about making 500whp on the stock turbo. I SAID many Evo owners have made over 500whp on the STOCK BLOCK with well over 50k miles without issues. 430whp on the stock turbo is pretty much the max you can make unless you do high compression pistons. Once again what is your point of listing how much power your making on a 35r on pump gas? That has nothing to do with this conversation whatsoever.

:SurgesEvo The reliability of your built motor has nothing to do with this conversation. The stock block has been taken over 500whp by many Evo owners for countless miles without issues. The stock turbo does not even have the ability to make enough power to push the stock block anywhere near it's limits. I suggest you read up on Evolutionm.net because you are clearly misinformed. On the subject of your dyno numbers you are NOT making 700whp on a dynojet 640whp is more likely. 640whp - a generous 9% for your dynamics dyno= 582whp

:surgesEvo: There is nothing "ticking" about it. The stock Evo engine has proven itself reliable into the mid 500whp range. I'm not sure where your getting your information from but it is incorrect.

SurgesEvo: That is an ignorant "point"

astEvoix101: Sorry your a hater. Before my cams I ran an 11.3@120mph I trapped 94-95mph in the 1/8th. I went to an 1/8th mile track today and with being locked out of second I still trapped 96mph. Sorry that either your parts or tuner is not getting you the same results. My boost is spiking to 33psi and dropping to 23psi by redline. I don't know why people like you think you set the standard and if other people get better results it has to be bs.

SurgesEvo: Whats your point? You have a built motor and big turbo. I wouldn't expect anything less then those numbers out of a 2.3L 35R combo. My results are with the stock turbo and stock bottom end.

OHSOCLEAN: I agree it did look like that. What actually happened though was the dig race was a clean run with him on the bottle. Then during the roll run we started off in first gear and I missed 2nd gear so badly I just let out completely. The roll race was basically a first gear race.

CanexicanEVO9MR: I missed 2nd gear on the roll race bad and just let out since it was pointless after that.

Neeseius the fact that it's a stock turbo means ALOT. 30psi is not infact 30psi in general with turbo's. The stock turbo is capable of pushing 41lbs of air per minute. Just to compare, a 3076 turbo is capable of pushing 52lbs of air per minute. 30psi on both turbo's does NOT equal the same power, the larger more efficient turbo will always make more power. That is why in the Evo world low 11's high 10's on the stock turbo is considered a big deal.

Thanks Mofo :D

I forgot to mention I am also on the complete stock fuel setup.

YoullLose: That is NOT correct. I AM running full boltons with 93oct+100%meth and 30psi on the STOCK turbo and STOCK cams.

EvoJoeIX: It may not be "new" but I can not recall more then 6 people who have ever done it. It is truly only a goal the elite and dedicated have achieved.

BompBomp: Rubber ones :)

TURBOMR2: I am not hiding any modifications done to my car. The Evo IX stock turbo is full capable of running 30psi peak and tapering off to 23psi by redline. The stock boost is around 21-22psi. I have full boltons IE: Full exhaust, intercooler pipes, upgraded intercooler, + methanol injection as I have listed. I am still on stock cams. Those are my modifications and if you choose to be ignorant and claim something you watched with your own eyes cannot be done then thats on you.

36bd9fbd: This wasn't a competition, just a private track rental day. I was only concerned about reaching my goal of an 11.3 on the current setup. :)
