might be a wicked engine but you can't sell me that awfull body line. To me it's just the same as putting a 426hemi in a pontiac Aztek. Might be fast but still damm ugly.

I could watch these videos all day. Just a thought, I would recommend not using the same bolts on the cam bearings. If you plan to upgrade in the future why not invest in ARP or other brand name quality bolts while you have the chance. I know they don't take as much stress as the head bolts but still. it's cheap and you're there so why not change them.
My hats off to you for taking the time to do this video. I have done countless cam swapes but never took the time to tape and edit them.
thanks for posting.

insane ride for shure.
but at this point nothing is stock anymore so how's to say which is better ?
there is only 1 place at the top and we all know you can't be there for a long time. Competition brings us to better the speed and the engines. I guess my point is, the hennesey you point out would not be there if people were not pushing him to got faster and the supra would not be there either.
Why not just profit from the competition instead of reverting back to kindergarden comments.
My 2 cents.
PS: keep the change.

bmxludwig. thanks for the input. right now my everyday ride is a 2001 audi S3. My mustang lx coupe 1990 is parked for the winter. and kiddo... thanks... at 34 it's not everyday I get to be flattered by kids I teach everyday in shop class.
kept the attitude up. You'll have success.

ok Helfenbein. you got me with typo's. it was late and I was in the dark so what. it still does not change the facts. I can appreciate a well built motor in just about every time of cars because i am a car lover period. I have been doing hobby mechanical jobs probably longer than you have been alive. So YES I know how to change a flat ....kiddo.
around here cavaliers are commuter cars or used as beater cars in the winter time. Not a car to INVEST in with speed mods or anything else. You are NEVER going to get that cash back....ever. It would be different if he had found a old 1991 Z24 with the 3.1 (generic gm motor) and built THAT to do 12's....or sports cross or even just a show car.
Congrats on his built, but it doesn't have to make me a fan of the product.

a cavalier is still a week car with a week engine built for the students or low millage commuter who do not want to invest in luxury and just want to go from A to B . the 2.4 are destined for failure both with the valvetrain and from the tranny (automatic). Hence, they are disposable cars. Even if it's faster with x number of mods. come one.
I would rather have a stock 350z than a cavalier. and I doupt that others, given the FREE choice would pick the calalier.

had the same problems with a 1985 jetta gl. they are notorious for that problem. Def. a Throttle Position Sensor. Might also be just dirty. I cleaned mine up with carb cleaner and she ran like magic until I sold her.
while you're at it...check for vaccum leaks.
good luck. and please let us know what it was when you fix it.
