I would say the Trans Am looked like it has more power judging by how it jumped a car ahead at first. But then you can start to see the better aerodynamics of the Corvette up top! Good roll race!

jjf9i3939, I hope you're joking. On a dyno?! Impossible? Let me know if you're in TX sometime and I'll show you how impossible it is. Man where do these people come from?!?!

Okay fish9869....please tell us then why the past 70 post people have put up are all wrong in terms used like, "amazing" or "sick" or "fast" or "nice run". Please inlighten us fish 9869............

No it's not on a dyno! What?!Everyone keeps commenting on the coolant temp! Makes me wish I didn't have it on the screen at the time!Look at my other vids, bone stock, my coolant stayed around 201-205. Once I put some boltons on and a 160 degree thermostate, you can see in my bolt-on vid that I was running around 178 degrees, and on that pull the temp incease by around 5 degrees. So now, I have a supercharger uping the horsepower 200-230rwhp over when I had bolt-ons. Also, I wouldn't say that this was a short run, 25-175mph short? Short in time maybe. You have to understand, what does it take to build more horsepower? ENERGY! And what happens when you take any car through the gears full throttle? It's taking energy to push it. Think about what's happening in each cylinder on my car with 60lb injectors and 10lbs of boost on stock motor. It's generating a lot of ENERGY which equals HEAT!!! Trust me, an increase of 15 degrees on a pull thats from 25-175mph on a blower car, not bad!

The coolant temp is actually fine. Cruising I get 180-190 in this TX heat. 200-209 max in stop and go traffic. Any engine, when running through the gears, will begin to heat up. Obviously high rpm's will do this to a motor. You can check out my other vids when the car was just bolt on and notice the temp increasing. The adding of boost helps in the heating up process! But the car is a blast to drive, and power is crazy. But the car drives like stock when just putting around. Bone stock long block motor...

If you think this is fast, the car now has Kooks headers, Vararam intake, and tune. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Bolton-C6-LS2-C...

My Vette is not a Z51. When it comes down to what car will win in a race, a 03 Cobra, a C5Z or a C6, it's more a drivers race, because all of these cars are in the low to high 12's from the factory.

It depends whos behind the wheel, if you're racing from a stop, or from a roll and what type of transmission you have. How high the from a roll speed is. A lot of factors. The Vettes are a lot better in aerodynamics over a 03 Cobra. So stock for stock, the Vette will(or should) win on the street, assuming similar drivers.

A stock C5 Z06 tends to be a bit faster than a stock C6 for a few reasons. First the C5Z has shorter gearing in it's transmission from the factory, similar to putting 3.73 gears out back. Also the C5Z is a little lighter as well. And, stock C6's will start to pull timing when the coolant temp gets upwards of 200+ degrees (fixable with a tune and 160 thermo) which the C5's didn't have to worry about.

Okay guys, here's a better video I made.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Stock-C6-LS2-...

It's just a slow LS2. ; )

I was only holding the camera above the airbag on the steering wheel. Funny part is, I couldn't see the tach because the camera was in the way. So I had to shift the car by looking at the tach through the little window on the camera! Hee Hee!

Hey guys, I wasn't trying any land speed records here. This is just my bone stock '06 C6 Vette. I've yet to do any performance mods yet. All that happened here, I had the camera and it was late one night and hammered it from 25 to about 120mph. Nothing fancy here.

As far as top speed goes, I've got the stock C6 up to an indecated 175mph with a slight headwind of 10-15mph winds. Uncorking this car with long tube headers, catback, coldair induction and tune, should open her up. I'm predicting I could reach upwards of 190-200mph with these mods and no headwind in 5th gear.

I've got a Spec stage 3 clutch. It's been treating me well. I've never had any problems with it at all, it works great. That's strange that you had t hat problem...?
