After a few days of riding with the girls, i WILL say that they had their moments of darn good driving- thus the 8th place finish one day. Yes, navigationally challenged perhaps... but then again, everyone on the rally had their moments of being completely lost (just maybe not for an hour :)

Yes, Foose designed the Eleanor incarnation of the GT500, but Ray and the guys at CVS actually built 11 cars for the film- of which 8 were only shells. This is a decent article with some background- http://www.mustangmonthly.com/featuredvehicles/196... html

If you haven't seen it already, check out part 2 of this piece... just posted on here this week. There's especially a sweet story about Hennessey building a 900HP twin turbo RAM for a race against a McLaren!

kickermsp- Actually, the driver was pretty cool for letting me- a complete stranger- come up and document his rough morning commute. Yes, it's annoying he doesn't drive the car more... but I wouldn't immediately classify him as a jerk... just perhaps life-less and boring... :)

Just a heads-up... we'll be posting an in-depth look at the SSC tomorrow in the podcast with an exclusive interview and some sweet running footage of the Aero playin with an LP640 at around 130 mph. After spending some time with Jarod Shelby (founder & designer of the Aero) we think this car is worth a serious look. Yeah, it's a total departure from the Veyron's design philosophy- but listen to some of the reasoning behind it on tomorrow's podcast...
