We never thought that the viper is going to run us.We're cruising side by side for couple miles than hit the red light,I wasn't thinking anything until the guy started revving the Viper at the red light than I pulled out the camcorder .Light turned green and he didn't go until we're going about 10 mph than he hit it.He was about 1 car behind us but it had about 2 sec head start.

Why don't you get a pair of slicks and run 7-10 psi at them that should help alot.

Pretty quick civic but the video shows you that wrong wheel drive cars are useless at 1/4 track.127 mph in rear wheel drive car is good for 10 sec pass.

The run in the video was 11.4 @123 mph. IIRC the guy run 11.1 or 11.2 that day.I'll play with my stang for couple more years then I'll pick up a C5 ZO6 or regular C6 or maybe in few years I'll go for C6 ZO6.

That comment I made it was to 3LEGR.It's preatty funny funny to me as guy who owns a Scooter and Ford Festive with whooping 80 hp calls a vette slow and heavy.Vettes are great cars,I was very close to pick up a 02-04 ZO6 but the insurance rates weren't really friendly to me that time.

It's an auto now because my manual trans won't bolt up to modular engine.I'm pulling this motor back out and dropping forged Teksid over winter time.It's gonna get either built auto ,TKO 500 or T56 in spring time.

Yee,it's pretty sad when you already start with little light weight shoe box and you have to gut it out, put different engine and turbo kit to stay even with stockish 96 cobra.BTW the video description is WRONG Cobra was running stock 3.27 rear end gear and stock clutch that time. Cobra had BBK intake,Flowmaster cut-back exhaust and slicks during this race.James.... it says that guy who drives a pick up truck .Let's line up my crappy mustang GT against your super fast dakota.

there is a light right above the timing bords, it shows which car crosses the 1/4 mile marker first and you can clearly see it goes off on the right side timing board.
