@sparky
it was in the Netherlands there they have a highway speed limit of 120km/h (75mph) he was doing partly 220km/h and more, that are nearly 140mph not 125mph..125mph are 200km/h.. means he was doing twice the speed that was allowed. Stupid driver... I am sure he lost controll as he was accelerating through the turn onto the off ramp..on tire on damp tarmac one on dry tarmac.. low experiend driver.. this is the result.. one Porsche killed :(

the Vauxhal VX220 is the 147hp 2.2l n/a version simple called speedster at Opel..
If that Speedster was tuned he would have had extrem traction problems...low weight lot of power bad idea to set off from a stand... looked like a completly stock Speedster Turbo.. vs a stock Viper... the Viper is 3.9s 0-100km/h the speedster Turbo is 1s slower... Viper extrem bad start Speedster turbo excelent start...Viper owned on the first yards/meter... were is there the big deal?

It was a Opel speedster Turbo and the 2.0l Z20LET has 200hp not 147hp... the speedster with 147hp is the 2.2l n/a.
Opel Speedster Turbo 0-100km/h (62mph) is 5.0s...

of to the Skyline fans.. the R34 GT-R Z-Tune with 500hp laped Sugo in 1:37.554min.. slower as the 415hp Porsche 997 GT3, slower as the LP640 and slower as the Gallardo (1:37.537min)
To get a idea how outdated the NSX-R realy is... in the 2007 Best Motoring Sugo battle the 997 GT3 drove a 1:36.954min, the Murcielago LP640 a 1:37.387min

That was a normal Corvette and the Elise was a Exige Mk I driven by Smudo a German HipHop singer who started a amateur race career after Walter Röhrl drove him around on the Hockenheimring.. Smudo liked it so much that he started racing, he race the biodiesel powered Ford Mustang during the 24h at the Ring. A MX-5 or Miata is cannon fooder to every Lotus Elise/Exige with a skilled driver behind the wheel

Jan Magnusen did a 7:42.9min with a average speed of 160.207km/h during officle testruns

the different is 10.9min...the Z06 laped the Ring in 7:42.9min not 7:40.8min. The different Z06 was driven by a Corvette race driver, the Zonda was driven by Horst von Saumra car magazine test driver. Give the Zonda in hands of a highly skilled race driver and the different would be much bigger as 10.9s

don´t know what is wrng with his driving... the Carrera GT use a super smale carbon clutch... very very difficult to start with and even highly skilled race driver stall the car once in a while..
I bet all of the guys claiming her the guy can´t drive would not get that thing moving in the first try!

US highway speed is boring slow... better with only 250hp on the Autobahn going 155mph as with a V8 rolling around like a pensioner. :-p Nice video... if I would own a Carrera GT I would do that all day long :-))

it only get whipped to the speed they show in the video... at the auto motor und sport high speed test the Z06 beat the Porsche 997 Turbo to 200km/h(like in that video)... but the 997 turbo beat the Z06 to 300km/h (better arodynamic/gearing)..you only have to stop a video atthe right moment to let a car look bad..
