also, how do we know how fast this thing is? all we saw was the dyno, not a top speed run against other evos.

i think its pretty cool, and i am a muscle car guy. i would drive it, but 4 2 PSI of boost is just rediculous. if an engine can take that amount of bo ost at any RPMs it has to be a hell of a powerplant. my only beef with thi s thing is this: why does it only have ~600 lb/ft of torque and 826 hp? th ose numbers can definitely be closer. thats one of the great things about a v8, the torque and hp kind of try to stay around each other. if you hav e a 4 cyl., then your HP will run away form the torque the higher it goes. those 1000 hp supras you see have a similar problem, but not as extreme a s the 4 bangers. also, the tourque you put to the ground is related to gea r ratios as well as engine output. this is why you see cars running the dy no in higher gears, the gear ratio in alot of cars is 1:1 in one of the hi gher gears, as far as i know.if you dynoed a rock crawler in its lowest ge ar ratio, it could make as much as 10,000 lb ft of torque, if geared prope rly, maybe even more. bottom line, if your car has a billion hp and only 3 lb ft of torque, it aint gonna get anywhere as well as it could if those numbers were close together.

and any car can beat any other car with enough modification. motor configur ation doesnt matter. it is all about power to weight ratios. more HP and l ess LBS means faster car.

i like it how much torque did it say it had? i cant pause it quickly enough . for all of you people who do not know what rice really is, let me give y ou some examples. this skyline:not rice. Civic with eurotails and unpainte d bodykit, only performance mod is a fart cannon exhaust, ricer. civic wit h a body kit that matches the car that performs decently, not a ricer. cav alier with a huge ass wing stolen from a top fuel dragster and eurolights, ricer. hope this clears things up, and before anyone says anything, domes tic cars can be rice. everything is technically imported anyway due to out sourcing anyway, but a domestic car can be ricey. just look around. the 00 's civic si hatch looks alot like a ford focus zx5 from the front. check i t out if you dont believe me. bottom line, this is a cool car.

thats a cool idea, but did it damage the car? if not, that is a cool trick. if it did, it is still cool, but bad for damaging someones car.

i like the video, but not the concept of the site. i like the viper, but i dont care they chose to do this, it will just make the others that much mo re valuable. if you want to smash a car, smash a car, but dont have people pay you to do it. if oyu needed money, you shouldnt have bought a viper. also, for a much better site than this, go to smashmyipod.com, they have v ideos of them getting kicked out of a store for purchasing and promptly st omping this annoying little box, then taking a hammer to it. they later at tempt to return it under warranty.

ever take it off any sweet jumps? i wouldve liked to see the spill. next ti me, do a wheelie at the end, you get more air, and done properly, can pull a smoother landing, and also definitely get more speed before the ramp. y eah, i had a little bike ramp building stint when i was younger.

i think the purple car broke something.... cant do a wheelie in my accord, sadly. maybe in reverse, or with a properly mounted rocket booster.

they actually handle exceptionally, pick up a november 2005 car and driver, they tested it, and they liked it alot.

the real question is, how do you slow a bike from 150 mph, wouldnt the brake pads generate so much heat they catch fire? even with disc brakes, you would probably almost kill yourself trying to slow down.
