Vortech doesnt make turbos...

700950.........PSI makes no difference....Psi is the side effect of forcing X amount of air or CFM into a motor.....A motor is a air mover so if you add something that moves more air through the motor than it could do own its own at the same air fuel ratio you have more power. If you make the motor more efficient by porting and polishing you will notice the same horsepower with less pressure.

comparing built motors to stock ones how can you even say anything about technology after that...technology states in every way that in the end the bigger motor viper wins look at the auto and stick driven fastest cars in the world its not a supra anymore like it used to be wheres your technology in that one??

Not sure I understand your comment.....once you add forced induction on a motor your moving the same amount of air as a bigger motor.....Look at volumes of air I bet if you look at how much that T72 moves it moves more air than the 8.3 liter viper or any of the other ones. But you know a paxton supercharged viper puts out close to 700 horsepower....Comparing N/A to Turbo is just stupid. You can take F1 cars for example they got rid of turbos because the only way you can compete with one is to be turboed yourself. Once you force air into a motor the only limit is really how much stress the motor can take if you don't believe that here is a good example.....a neon srt-4... hanging with just about any other drag car you can think of including supras and skylines and whatever else you can imagine....all this from 2.6 four banger....(stroked)

Big turbo hardly stock just add a blower of any type to any of those other cars and this would be a whole different story again we come back to displacement.....3.0 or even 3.4 is far less superior in the ability to make horsepower than a larger displacement motor. Can it be done yes look at the two fastest 6 speed cars in the world a supra and a viper but currently the viper has it right now atleast till the supra owner puts another 100 grand into the car.

"Rest of the race? We braked 2 seconds after that, I hit rev limiter at 7900rpm at 126mph. That was the end. The camera cut off like 2 seconds worth and we both didnt move from where we were"

Whatever dude....try spell check before you actually post something.

If you'll take a close look the Vette motor has a high compression ration

he LS7's specifications are significant for a production engine:

* 505 horsepower @ 6200 rpm
* 475 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4800 rpm
* 7000-rpm redline
* Unique engine block with larger 104.8-mm (4.125-inch) bores and pressed-in cylinder liners
* Forged steel crankshaft with 101.6-mm (4-inch) stroke
* Titanium connecting rods
>>* Cast aluminum flat-top pistons<< * Racing-derived CNC-ported aluminum cylinder heads with titanium intake valves and sodium-filled exhaust valves
* Dry-sump oiling system
>>* 11.0:1 compression ratio<<<<
* Camshaft with 15-mm (.591-inch) lift
* Hydroformed exhaust headers with unique "quad flow" collector flanges.

Its 80 Grand....

Ill take 2 lol...

Try looking up GT500 there are several at the "Track"

Wrong.....they were made to FLY and FLOAT

"The turbocharger was invented by Swiss engineer Alfred Buchi, who had been working on steam turbines. His patent for the internal combustion turbocharger was applied for in 1905. Diesel ships and locomotives with turbochargers began appearing in the 1920s.

One of the first applications of a turbocharger to a non-Diesel engine came when General Electric engineer, Sanford Moss attached a turbo to a V12 Liberty aircraft engine. The engine was tested at Pikes Peak in Colorado at 14,000 feet to demonstrate that it could eliminate the power losses usually experienced in internal combustion engines as a result of altitude.

Turbochargers were first used in production aircraft engines in the 1930s prior to World War II. The primary purpose behind most aircraft-based applications was to increase the altitude at which the airplane can fly, by compensating for the lower atmospheric pressure present at high altitude. Aircraft such as the Lockheed P-38 Lightning, Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and B-29 Superfortress all used exhaust driven "turbo-superchargers" to increase high altitude engine power. It is important to note that turbosupercharged aircraft engines actually utilized a gear-driven centrifugal type supercharger in series with a turbocharger."

Matter of fact GM Delphi and Mckesson are the only ones in the top 100 of the Forbes 500 that lost money in 2006. And that means they lost money... not they didnt make as much as expected......

Ford made....
In millions % change from 2004
Profits 2,024.0 -42

it just didn't make the expected 4 billion like it was expected to.........

You guys should understand business talk before you speak...They lay people off because they didn't make as much as projected...they are still #5 on the Forbes 500 list...and all the American manufactures take top honors on that list with Toyota fast on their heels...

No they cant 9 second evo cant hardly even race cause of the turbo lag.... and there aren't that many anyways....They have to run slicks on all fours and hardly has traction like that....You don't remember the AMS "got traction video"? They do have one they built to run on the twisties though....It ran at VIR not to far from where I used to go and watch bikes race...
