100ev the 08 is not slower than the 04-07. although its not faster either. but it does provide a better platform to start from when tuning. the new suspension and longer wheel base not only raise its handling limits but also make it more stable when driving at the limit. and there is a reason the switch to the hatchback... just ask peter solberg

yeah i know what you mean. this guy sounds like a sales rep for gm. not that the new caddy isnt a huge improvement over the previous model but they still have some work to do. "this size of 5 series at the price of a 3 series."... and only a marginal hp advantage over the 3. bmw always puts priority on handling and driver feed back over raw power. still gm is getting closer and closer to filling the gap

97stang. bmw is trying to go back to the 3 series roots. bmw has brought the 3 series so far up market that they have lost the original "small car" formula. the current 3 series is actually as big as the old 5 series and is financially out of reach for most. bmw needs this car to keep the younger "new college grad" demographic that they once had in spades. this car is a smart move for bmw
