Actually, Mr. 61e61c53, I posted up the one run I lost all last season, it was vs a purpose built drag Road Runner with slicks. I really have nothing against the GT500 other than them being overpriced, overrated, and over weighted. For $35K, I'd grab one to beat the crap out of at the track rather than race the vette, which wasn't built for the 1/4 mile, but somehow it's 450rwhp is > most 600+rwhp cars there. $55-60K is a bit much for a mustang with a blower and Shelby bling all over it. BadA$$c6 is right, there's 9 sec Pintos and Grimlins for pete's sake. Anything can be made to go faster.

FWIW, I tore up a new ,red/ white Roush "427" Stang the other day ....sorry little excuse for a "fast car" as the 427 denoted the HP rating, not the cubic inch of the motor...sad attempt to draw in customers who think it's like the "427ci" LS7 engine. Leave it to Ford to take a real car's badging and turn it into a low level power option for $70K.

Facts are , they're just slow. The only thing that whines more than the blowers on those cars are the owners and nutswingers,like you. A corvette is hardly a "bad choice" for a performance car purchase, they retain their value well, in stock form they destroy 99% of all other cars produced, and are known world wide as America's greatest sports car. Too bad alot of you 'tards here in the states don't swallow your blue oval pride and appreciate a real car . As for all your silly, stupid HP stats on Lightnings and Roush this and that, it's all blah blah blah to me. You can spend money to make anything faster, goob.Look at a ton of these vids, there's alot of 10-11 second rides that used to be 13-14 sec cars. Just add money and ta-daaa....too bad the GT500s need ALOT of money before they can haul their enourmous tail down the road. Wake up, it's morning, dream time is over, reality is : The Vette is just a superior car to the "vette killer" GT500...or the KR, or the "I licked Carroll Shelby's Butthole Edition" Mustang.

I ran a cai/pully swap/full exhaust/tune/gears/tune/drs GT500 in Jan at Rockingham....he got a 12.05 @ 121mph....that was his best time, even with a decent 1.8X 60ft. Well...at least he shaved 1/2 a second...lol.

FWIW, the Ford GT was barely competition for the C6 Z06, the ZR1 destroys that car hands down. And, I can keep talking as much as I want, seeing as how I'M STONE COLD CORRECT in what I'm saying, not just living vicariously through a dyno sheet and other's BS videos. When this guy (SVTBOOST) turns low 11's in that POS on street tires like I did and can hold a flat curve at 120+MPH to pull over 1.2gs, I'll be silent. Finding some obscure vid of a "fast" Lightning Truck outrunning a poorly driven Vette doesn't make the outcome true of all Vettes. There's guys out there in C6Z06s that barely break 12's, but well driven ones can hit 10's bone stock.

FWIW, the only way a GT500 hit 225mph is if it was being pushed by a faster ,more powerful, vette. Sure, there's pro drag cars that have nothing but the "shell" of a mustang, camaro, etc, but that isn't the real cars. My C6 can do your Gt500's top end of 155mph from a dead stop in less than 1/2 a mile. Get a life, start living in reality, and stop talking $#!T you can't back up. :P

Look, it's your preference that you purchased the Shelby GT500 (btw, the Shelby GT or GT/CS is a much better choice), now you're trying to defend that it's a brick that barely can get out of it's own way by talking crap about what is possibly the best American built car in the last 30 years (vette). Just to let you know, in STOCK form , the base C6 tops out at 198mph, can pull over 1.0 g's and does the 1/4 mile quicker than the GT500, which has 100 more HP. As for my vid of 80-155mph, that was just a little fun I was having, hardly on jackstands for you morons who think that. Even Ford's upgrade to the GT500, the KR, is a piece of junk performance wise.What a joke, you guys pay almost Z06 money for a mid 12 second, 12 mpg,top speed of 155mph brick with stripes.I'd understand if you were an elderly gentleman reliving his youth having a real GT500 or GT350 from back in the day, but to dip to trailer park level at that amount of $$ is just mullet-mentality.

svtboost...it's not my numbers, it's what I do with them....try to run low 11's with that piggy you got there on street tires , have a top speed of 200mph and pull over 1.2gs at over 120mph sucessfully making a turn, then you can talk some $#!!T.
