check here for full details>http://racingsouthwest.com/forums/index.ph... a nutshell> quote from sq_creations:Well I dropped some valves on sunday at the dragstrip. I have a switch that controls the hondata boost controller(on a mbc that day), launch control and secondary (high octane) maps. Well I didn't realize it was off when I went to the track. Pretty expensive mistake. I did my burnout and launches not on the 6800 rpm 2step but rather the 8500 rpm redline. Looking back at the logs it bounced to 9500 a couple times. I thought it was weird that I was not building as much boost on the line. I ran a 12.1 @ 116 with almost no timing at all. Then I ran a 12.7 at 119 missing 2nd gear and the timing was where I ran my 11.9. Then I realized what the problem was but by then it was to late. The last burn out I did was the end of the motor. At least I still have my health right. I really wish I could have seen what I would have trapped with the timing I was running on the street.

its not 1/8 mile. its 1/4 mile . like imelmo said: It's not. Occasionally diesels will "smoke" the lights. The black smoke from the exhaust messes with the timing lights; mph remains correct though. The 60ft. on that slip wil read something completely off the wall. I did it a few times myself before I got stacks. They're fun time-slips to show your friends though. :D
