Yeah, you can hear it pop off on the "dig run". its just a loud burst of air where the coupler came right off the turbo, but luckily the clamp stayed in the engine bay, so it was a quick fix!

Always interesting to see the video from the other car!

The Shelby didn't know that the C6 was right there (in his blind spot) so it was a close call for sure!

The civic driver knows his car very well, and im sure that with your average civic driver that the outcome would have been slightly different!!

Well that was a good confirmation that cop cars are slow!! lol good to hear you could do something like this for charity!

I'd like to know the numbers as well.....our new design just made 601whp on a bone stock 125k mile motor with a GT35R and a 2.5" downpipe!!! Got a video of the runs on my profile.

its at the shop getting body work done right now and as soon as it get back the new fully built motor is going in, so it might not be able to come out until the new setup is done, and then it will be a bit more one sided.......i would like to see the run though!

one of the guys was talking about making a motor like yours in a rwd car and too bad that it doesn't exist, and i was simple stating that one does exist and that it is a whole other car!

2x we have a bone stock 125k mile s2k motor at the shop putting down 601whp!!! I don't think the civic would be able to keep anywhere close to it!!!

yeah the redal was on 17psi and thats around 400whp, and i believe the Z51 was on a 125 shot

the ZX6 is not a mid 90's it is either a 99' or 00', i forgot what the owner told me.
oh and he only has intake and a cat-back for mods, as well as a 125shot.
They are actually the same car.....only one C6 Z51 model car that was off bottle for the first run only.

It all depends on the size of the motor. For a 2.0L motor, YES a GT35R is a good size turbo! For a 5.7L motor that is extremely small! For a V6 car that revs to 8500rpms a GT35R is a small turbo, in fact it is maxxed out on race gas with this car on stock heads/cams! Also keep in mind that this is with a smaller back housing (.58 i believe).

Your such an idiot that you cannot even ready the previous post before YOU post!

Actually the NSX has a small turbo GT35R and it is seeing full boost BEFORE 4k rpms, and revs to 8500rpms, so it is VERY responsive! By the time i got the NSX on video (i was taking pictures too), it was already starting to overheat, so the car was only on 8psi of boost instead of 14psi, so it was limping around the track for the few laps that i got it on video......its all good, we will upgrade the W/A intercooler and the radiator and be back out in a late April for another round!
there are two different Exiges in the video......and the NSX was having cooling issues after the 2nd lap.
it uploaded and then never showed up in my video section and i lost the link, and i have tried it twice with no luck.......the car is back at the shop for some more improvements, so once we are done and i get more footage i am just going to make one big video with all of the material.

His KB car ended up converting to a Single 76mm Hellion kit (piece of crap kit) with a built motor and then was traded for the Supra.
