Just something else to stir up trash talk. One thing I'd like to mention i s it would be nice to see more turbo domestic V8s, particularly turbo ls1s ... I appreciate the whole small displacement 4 an 6 cylinder turbo thing but you just can't beat a built and turboed V8 when it get's down to it. And no.. a turbo Saturn S:2 will NOT beat a turbo LS1..

Couldn't really hear much of the Cobra in this video but the Viper I thought sounded really good. Something different about 10 cylinders.. If you have ever heard a Volvo 5 cylinder getting on it, it is very similar. V10=2 5 cylinders.. :) Hard to describe but very different than the magical 8.

I'm surprised that Radix didn't run better.. Looks like no intercooling on that setup.

Geez, give it a break. I like BOTH Mustangs and Supras but in all honestly? When it gets down to it, 8 cylinders with turbo is going to beat 6 cylinder, bottom line. Don't believe me? Take a look at what Nelson Racing Engines puts out: Turbo V8s making 2000-3000 hp. Don't get me wrong, but what's it going to take to get the Supra to spit out that much horsepower? I personally don't see that happening any time soon. Take the Mustang in this video, build it right, turn the boost up with the right turbo and that Surpa would be toast. Bottom line? I like Supras but I'll take a turbo V8 over a 6 ANY day of the week, even if your 6 turbo was able to beat a V8 in 'this' particular race.

Yea, Yamaha made the heads for that 3.0. Later is was 3.2 I think when the y slapped the auto on them. SHO was a cool car for it's time with great t op end, nice to see some still running around whoopin' some butt!

" YOU ALL GIVE ME A F'N HEADACHE SO STFU! THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY."
Hahahah..
I know what you mean.
I want to see some turbo V8s that aren't domestic.

Awesome AWESOME car. I definitely want to see more stuff from these guys at Nelson. Face it guys, Nelson Racing Engines is world class. :) Also , why the ruckus earlier discussing hp versus torque? I remember back in the day when I didn't understand it, was very frustrating but it's simple really. HOREPOWER is NOTHING but a -function- OF torque. If you don't ha ve TORQUE, you DON'T have HORESPOWER. Horespower = torque*rpm/5252. Get it? Horsepower can ONLY result from torque at a particular rpm. As lon g as the torque does not fall off as the rpms increase the horsepower will continue to increase as well. Sooo.. torque at the wheel wins races.. bo ttom line. Horsepower merely illustrates TORQUE with the SPEED variable in the mix. It takes ALOT more torque to make 500hp at 3500 rpm than it d oes at 6000 rpm. If you still don't get it, look at the power curve of a diesel and then study the power curve of gas engine while keeping the afor mentioned equation in mind.

Nice race.. Supra kept trying to jump but the Cobra driver was online and railed the Supra nonetheless.

Chalk another one for up for the new Z06. One minor complaint though, I wish you would cut/edit out the lead in on your videos, I hate wasting my time watching cars just cruising around, I just want to see the @#$% race. :)

Cool.. I don't have any problems with cars like this.. The only hangup I have is the turbo lag.. I don't think I could live with something that I had to wait until 7000+ to get boost, especially in daily driving. Still, bad arse Civic. You can't argue with HP numbers like this coming out of B18s.. I've even seen some d16s making 300+ hp. Oh.. and good Lord that's a big intercooler.

I heard the whine on that GT and thought it was a pretty tight race, not bad for the Mazda. I wonder what kind of SC that GT has on it because if it was a Kenne Bell I don't think the results would have been what we saw.

That Stang was having major traction issues but still got out ahead and sta yed there for quite a good while.. Not sure what you could do to the Stang to get the power down better in that situation but if the traction proble m is taken care of I don't think the EVO would have an even HARDER time tr ying to play catch up. Yea, 4WD is nice but the Stang I think had a bit m ore power still.

I actually drove an 03 AMG C32 today (thinking about buying) and was quite frankly shocked. Was this C32 in the vid non AMG? Anyways.. the AMG I drove today was difficult to launch with the traction control off because it was spinning tires 1st and 2nd EASILY. Launching with TC on caused it to bog badly so this car needs a skilled driver to get the most out of it. Don't know about this C32 but no S2000 stock, possibly even modded would knock over what I drove today..
