027028, this ShelbyKR is the standard 540 hp w/out the 720hp option and heavy(4000lbs almost weigh's as the Lightning Truck) compared to the 505hp lightweight ZO6= very obvious ZO6 wins, the heavy muscle car needed some pulley swap and some slicks to have a good fight over the light Sportscar/roadster. Nicka, GT didin't sucked very reliable/easy bolt'on supercar=priceless and its stock bottom ends are capable of up to 1600 hp.

It was SVT 5.4L S/C 4valve share's the same concept w/ 05 SVT Lightning concept truck. These are John Coletti's toy, all began w/ 99Lightning 5.4L 2V s/c (not the 5.8L N/A 93 L)

wheatgod, I hope you're not addressing that ignorant question to me b/c if you do, I really recommend some major iron and iodine in your diet. If that doesn't help, I suggest a heavy does of KCL in your diet, and do me a favor ask your doctor about that prescription, it should help your problem out.

You know 1 thing there are some people who grew around Ford cars such as Shelby, Roush, Saleen, John Force and some others, but these people did win their multiple championships through Ford and also not only that they race them, they also have tons of collection w/ it, as well as production cars, so who is Ford? =people that like to build it ,drive it ,race it,heck sleep w/ it, you name it. This guy Ballard was the same thing, he picked the Ford A.C Cobra as his choice, just like the new age Carroll Shelby. His passion is w/ Ford muscle, but you can reason whatever it is you can think about just to make Ford look less than Chevy, and you know 1 thing, they look even to me,just a matter of prferences. There will always be Chevy guys as well as Ford guys, so what's wrong w/ that? I guess just that ignorant ego....

The engine's 800hp/660tq production was hand built by Ernie Elliot in the NASCAR shop in Georgia, the hazard flasher button was made of sappire just like on your Rolex watch, but its a scratch resistant and each cost $500. So I don't know where you can fit that "Chevy on star" in comparison.

NastySS, I don't know how you picture it, but it looks Ford to me even if that was redesigned by some 1 else, it is still a Cobra and its got more than just ons star pls, do you know how big its alternator? its the size of your fist, And as far as of reliability? Well darn the 800hp N/A was pretty much tested not only for its Luxury, but also for its muscle, but again you can consider that as your own denial b/c obviously you're only for the ZR1 cost less etc,etc.

James76,The GT500 KR has options w/ 750 hp, and the regular GT500 stock w/ good driver that can manage to launch it right w/only 500hp out of the showroom stock= 12.30 in 1/4 mile,magazine results are not always accurate and some are biased. And w/ mild bolt-ons like pulley,cold air and good tune=600rwhp= high 10.sec/low 11's and you can double check w/ evolution performance. And like I said the regular GT500 KR is only 550hp, the option=750hp. You know 1 thing also the 5.4L S/C Ford GT has the same concept set-up w/ GT500 and if you already know these engines are capable of 1600hp on its stock bottom end according to Hefner's stat, so no need to stress about out running some ZR-1 on the straight, or more update w/ suspension through FR500 spec. could also take care of the apex and that all depends to the owner. 69Chevelle454, also a mild bolt-on Shelby w/ pulley, cold air and only a good tune was producing 600rwhp, so the TA has more than just bolt-ons and say the fastest run tested w/ ss was 13.20's and some claim high 12 w/c really impossible if you don't weigh 90 lbs, or take some serious weight off, but every 1 has its story, sorry this 1 is all about driver/set-up/traction and I've seen a bolt-on Lightning beat a Shelby, but that's hardly ever you see, same concept w/ your T.A
