And as far as the E85, Corn is used for about a 1000 other products, so basing your fuel supply on something that is already being used not to mention the fact that one bad season would take your fuel prices thru the roof (even more so then now) and no farmers would ever be able to keep up with demand. Also it would not stop the demand for oil, crude oil is used for just about everything you use, making cars, keeping them running smoothly, plastic!!!! Yup a large portion of crude goes to making plastic, guess what also they use to make it, corn, corn can only cover one or the other not both.

Notice the dyno numbers were not produced. Guys, especially ricers and euro guys, not ragging on you at all but seriously if you want to make power why do you guys do it with engines made for only one thing, saving gas. Even if you do it correctly (wich most ricers dont) as far as building engines, they still have a lower limit and in gods honest truth are not as safe, dont mind the bolt ons but these huge turbos and crap, just a little too much guys in most cases. (exclude some supras but ive seen so many blow up too). Sorry if i offend anyone not my intention.

youve got to watch out at those euro races, not much as far as protection is concerned and the drivers never really seem to care.

Well if its one of the engines used in the american WW2 tanks/planes its either a ford/chrysler or Ford engine, so if its a tank engine (wich i think it is) its about 650hp 1100torque.

1965 handling tech including suspension and transmissions, shift points and the main thing you guys are forgetting, the rear end gears! with most cars meant for euro and autocross racing they put the gears low, mainly because they usually had only 4 gears, the viper has 6 gears and i believe has 3.55 or higher gear ratio. Put all that together it counts for handling and the drag race. History alert, the Plymouth SuperBird ran crap on the 1/4 at 14seconds but was the fastest production car for 20+years. Look it up.

Well i think he was trying to say the New Ford GT that only lasted for a few years. Mainly because it was so expensive and didnt really run all that well nor was it reliable.

425hp is a decent ammount of power especially naturaly asperated, wich means it leaves large room for mods wich means more power *the true dyno numbers for the 6.1 is around 463*. The 392 Hemi wich is a stroked version of the 6.1 makes i believe 650hp seems good to me.
