I do, now....at the time of these runs, all I had was a cam, headers,and tune. Sorry for any misunderstanding. I have the L92/L76 combo, SLP exhaust and new tuning to bump me to the 450rwhp level.

actually, the new shelbys are not "insane", ghostwon...they are 12.5 second 1/4 mile cars at best when stock and for $55K+ and 500 HP, they should be alot faster and handle alot better. I've driven one, I know, they are pig heavy, nose diving, excessivly whining, underpowered bricks with a top end of just 150mph. Yeah, you can throw mods at them to make them faster, but you can do that to any car.
 
 
the only thing that whines louder than a GT500 's blower is the owners when they get beat....lol. You place an aged C5 vette, can't really even say if it's a Z from the footage, vs a new, modded 600+ HP mustang....c'mon......throw that puppy on a drag strip and lets really see what it's got...roll races are bs, you can't dispute a timeslip with video footage....

I've pulled many, many car lenghts on GT500s in my C6 base Corvette before I was modded, now, even the hevily modded GT500s have no chance. Only "race only" can get past the C6. Not to dis your company, but stick the car on a timed 1/4 mile track or put it up against someone not affiliated with your company in a car with similar HP.

I'm all over NC, but no, I don't live in Charlotte. There is a similar C6 like mine , but has 2 red hash marks on the front fender. It's a beast too.

look in the corner for the times....11.6 for the Cobra, 11.4 for the Vette,and yes, I have minor mods done to bring the vette to 450 rwhp, but the Cobra has 200 more rwhp and has better weight transfer than the Vette, which is on factory suspension setup, so it's set for the road course. Please , feel free to check out all 4 of my videos of the vette killing 640+ rwhp cobras....Not saying no 600+ cobra in the world can't take me, but those guys didn't. You race the car and the driver, not just the car, or it's just dyno and paper racing. HP isn't everything.
 
 
sick03svt: vettes aren't meant to be drag raced period, they're road course cars . The fact that they can blow away cars with 50% more rwhp and better weight transfer says alot about how incredible they are. As for your snide comment about automatics, autos are best at the track, consistant and (with a converter, which mine is still stock) makes for a better launch and lower 60fts. Besides, auto drivers don't have the bs excuse about "I missed a shift" when in fact, your car just sucks.I win 99% of all races I run, period. I race cars with more HP, stickier tires, pro-built engines and chasis, you name it. When the yellows drop, the bs stops.

1) just want one to drive and show off
2)polish and show crowd
3)drive 'em like they were meant to be driven group

turbo96, I can't help what you'd do if you had a vette, I'm telling you that Dennis did turn 10's in a true, bolt on only C6 corvette with 415 or so rwhp. Debate it all you want , but it happened. He lists his vid and timeslip and witnesses from that forum on Corvette Forum site.

sorry to bust YOUR bubble, Sick03SVT, but I beat the crap outta the two 600+rwhp cobras I faced TWO times each at the track. Would've ,Should've and Could've don't mean jack when the yellow drop. You cobra fans talk alot about "should" run this and "should" run that , based on a few guys through out the country who have run those times, thats bs, you race the car and the driver, not what some guy in another state has run one time with a similar set up.If that was the case, a guy with a C6 vette with only bolt ons has hit high 10's with 415rwhp, so with my 450 , I should be mid 10's, so that takes out your mythical 10.6 cobra as well. All is even. ;)
