Very true Irish, the track/roads were flooded. It was too dangerous to run, no question about it. I've never seen so much rain!

It's a conventional throttle, twist back to increase revs. I agree it looks as if it's the other way. I assume it just takes a while to build revs from tickover when cold.

lucius, I watched the race and imo it was fair. Stoner dominated practice and qualifying, so I guess he thought he'd win the race. It appeared Stoner wanted to make a break at the start, but Rossi was spoiling his lines, etc. I thought Rossi rode a great race. Stoner dropped it at the hairpin and still finished second, he should be happy.

I've blown up a few 2 strokes in my time. They do take a little maintenace but they are so much fun. I'll have to put all the clips together in a video at some point. I've got video from all three days and classes.

lol, brings back memories of when I used to go to Bol d'or 24 hr endurance bike race. Burnouts all night, piles of used tyres, and head gaskets drying on the branches.
