I've read there's is a Trabant in Germany with the supercharged engine of t he Polo G40, and it produced around 160hp. Of course a Trabant is very lig ht (600kilos?) so 160hp will be a lot compared to say a really heavy car w ith 300hp.The topspeed of this tuned Trabant is 210km/h but I would never sit in one at those speeds.Surely they are lethal at speeds over 140km/h, let alone 200+ km/h.

sorry, i meant ot say 800cc version, not 80cc, the stock trabi only had 15 horsepower, in a 650cc twin, aircooled motor, the rallye version had 800cc twin aircooled motor and had 65 hp.

i think the trabi in the video is a late model, .. which means the car has a 1100cc v-4 volkswagen polo engine, which can be turbocharged, supercharged, you name it, a two stroke, really, a blower is about all you can do to one, two strokes are great, however, they are very limited sometimes.. anyway, great video,
