you guys donot appreicate the old vw enough, durign the early years of japanese cars, they were not all that great, the japanese could not build stuff for &^%(, but the vw made f oreign gas savers popular during hte 60's and 70's, now, look around you, many cars are small, light on gas or diesel, why, it is fashionable to be thrifty and smart about what you buy, fuel is expensive, being light and smart is more stylish than big and clumsy,
